Joint Legislative Study Commission on the
Modernization of North Carolina Banking Laws

Senate Bill 555 was passed during the 2011 General Assembly and authorized the creation of the Joint Legislative Study Commission on the Modernization of North Carolina Banking Laws . The purpose of the Commission is to determine whether and to what extent the North Carolina Banking Laws need to be updated.

The fifth meeting of the Commission will be held on March 6, 2012, at 12:00 p.m., in room 643 LOB.

Meetings of the Commission were held on November 21, 2011, December 19, 2011 (Summary of Articles 1A-3A), January 20, 2012 (Summary of Articles 4A-5A), and February 14, 2012.  Related documents are available on the Commission's website at http://www.ncleg.net/gascripts/DocumentSites/browseDocSite.asp?nID=169.
