Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors
The Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors has proven to be of great value to directors
of all experience levels. CEOs and presidents throughout North Carolina, and surrounding
states have continued to support this program by encouraging their directors to attend
because of the value it provides to their financial institutions. We consistently receive
feedback from directors who have attended past programs that sessions are beneficial to
their development, they provide an opportunity to network with other directors, and to
stay abreast of new and relevant issues on the horizon.
We have partnered with the Center for Banking and Finance at the University of North
Carolina School of Law to offer this program to all directors, regardless of their
level of banking experience. These programs are designed to enhance the instruction
provided in our Directors’ College. The programs’ topics include, but are not limited
to, emerging best practices and board expectations related to audit committee responsibilities,
risk management oversight, strategic planning, and organizational culture. Our goal is to
continue offering programs that focus on emerging issues in the financial industry and
the challenges they face.
Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors Registration Details
Registration is open for the 2019 Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors. The Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors will be held at the Rizzo Conference Center in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, on August 15-16, 2019.
For the first time ever, we are hosting the Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors immediately following the 2nd session of Directors' College. The Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors will also be held at the Rizzo Conference Center and will begin at noon on Thursday, August 15, 2019, and will end at noon on Friday, August 16, 2019. We are hoping the change will accommodate your busy schedules and allow you to take advantage of both programs.
Pricing and Registration
$595 early bird (register by June 30,2019)
$650 regular (after June 30, 2019)
If the same person attends the 2019 Directors' College and the Emerging Issues Forum for Bank Directors, we are offering a discounted combined price of $1700 (early bird) if registered by June 15th or $2000 (regular) after June 15th. The person must register for both events separately.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Rizzo Center Hotel at the group rate. Reservations can be made at Rizzo Hotel or by calling the Rizzo Center Hotel directly at 919-913-2098. Please mention "NC Bank Directors" group code.
Additional hotel options
A full refund will be processed for a cancellation received four weeks or more prior to the event (Directors’ College – June 26; Emerging Issues – July 17). Fifty percent of the paid registration fee will be processed for a cancellation received two weeks prior to the event (Director’s College – July 10; Emerging Issues – July 31). There will no refunds for cancellations within the two weeks prior to the event, absent special circumstances. Substitute registrations are permitted if a participant can no longer attend.
